PIC microcontroller uses RAM memory or known as file registers to store data during execution and a working register called W register to perform arithmetic and logic functions. User program is stored in the flash program memory and a status register is used to indicate the status of microcontroller through flag bits such as carry, zero, digit carry flags and others.
